Follow these expert tips to extend the life of your pieces and keep your curls poppin’, hydrated, and frizz-free.

✨ General Maintenance Tips (All Textures)

Moisturize Regularly: Use a curl defining mousse or curl refresher spray to maintain softness and definition. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends.
Detangle with Care: Always use a wide-tooth comb or our Ultimate Flexible Detangling Brush on damp, conditioned hair. Work in small sections from ends to roots.
Wash Gently: Cleanse your extensions every 1–2 weeks with a sulfate-free shampoo followed by a moisturizing conditioner. Use products intended for curly hair only!
Dry Naturally: Air drying is best! If using heat, opt for a hooded dryer or use a diffuser on a low heat setting.
Reduce Friction: Sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase to reduce tangling and moisture loss overnight.

WATER, WATER, MORE WATER

Curly hair needs water! Before applying more product on your hair to refresh it, try hydrating generously with water and shingling to reactivate old product.

🧼 Washing Tips for Wigs & Ponytails

Detangle with water before washing with shampoo to prevent matting.
Submerge the unit in lukewarm water, apply a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo, and gently cleanse in a downward motion.
Rinse thoroughly, apply conditioner, and let sit 5–10 minutes before rinsing.
Gently squeeze out excess water (don’t wring!) and air dry on a mannequin head or hanger.

🔒 Styling & Longevity Tips

Limit heat styling — our premium virgin hair can handle it, but frequent use can loosen the curl pattern.
Always use a heat protectant when applying heat.
To refresh curls, water is your best friend! Hydrate with water and apply a small amount of curl cream or mousse, and finger-style as needed.
For wigs and ponytails, store in a satin bag or on a mannequin head when not in use.
